Um ok way better and more useful than I thought
I’ve cooked chicken and pork chops. The chicken came out absolutely perfect and I would say 90% of the time prior to this I know it’s like hit or miss like it would be way too dry or it would not be cooked and I have to throw it back in I mean this just takes out all the gassy, and the chicken was delicious and so perfectly cooked The pork chops. Yeah they were good. They were good. It actually works now the downside to this thing, the Bluetooth charge part of it it’s kind of awkward like I had times where I would plug it in and like for whatever reason it wasn’t charged so I think you got it make sure you leave the thing plugged in and charging quite a bit before you ever want to get around to using the stupid thing. The second thing is it honestly, the Bluetooth part of it sucks right Because again it won’t reach to where I’m at so I have to go closer to the room to kind of check the temperature but the app on my phone does a really great job of guesstimating what time it’s gonna be done and then you can go close and get a more up-to-date Read from the Bluetooth so overall it works pretty dang well. I only got one probe and so far for what I’m doing. It’s worked great best chickens I’ve ever cooked. I’ve used it only twice now but both times the chicken or just whole chicken was perfect. The other thing that Connor got me is that the app had a recipe for a chicken that was like let’s Say 4 to 6 pounds and another one for 7 to 8 pounds and I would say every stupid chicken I bought would be like 6.5 pounds so I always be wondering which stupid recipe I should be clicking but most the time I would choose the 78 pound one anyways, it was great I wish you could’ve tried it, it is pricey, but since I was cooking for a group of people and believe it, or not as bad as a cook, as I am, there’s a lot of people depending on me for food it was worth every penny to all the people eating it

Thanksgiving turkey perfection!
Amazing cooking gadget! I used it on my Thanksgiving Turkey and it helped cook it to perfection on my green mountain grill. The hub talks which made it seem very high tech! So easy to use, clean, and can’t beat the price. If you don’t have a smart thermometer for meat, buy this!!! It charged very fast and had only lost 1 bar on the power meter after 5 hours of use. I wish I had bought one years ago. Just remember to keep the hub close to where you’re cooking the meat and you won’t have connectivity issues. The instructions as so easy to follow that anyone can use this with ease. I eager to try on a beef roast. AND the app has some amazing recipes that I can’t wait to try.

WOW!! Even better than I expected
I bought this to be able to monitor food cooking on my BBQ. Little did I know that the app basically is a computer that tracks cooking and has recipes and does much more. You enter all the necessary info and the app calculates everything for you and talks to you with a speaker built into the case, so it’s virtually impossible to screw up.For example, I BBQ’d some pork chops last night. You setup a cool on the app- choose what you’re cooking- poultry, meat, seafood, vegetables, plant based. So I chose meat. Then you’re promoted as to whether your meat is beef, pork, lamb, or veal.I chose pork. Then I’m asked the type of pork- chops, roast, belly, ribs, burger, sausage or sausage burger.I selected chops. Then I’m prompted as to whether they’re loin chops, rib chops or shoulder chops. I choose rib chops and I’m asked their thickness from 0.5-2 inches.I select 1”, then I’m asked the cooking method- grill, stovetop, oven, smoker or air fryer.I chose grill. Then it asks how you want them done- medium (145) medium well (150) or we’ll done (160).After entering that the app tells me to remove from heat at 155 to reach 160 target temp. Tells me the total estimated cook time will be 40 mins, which is 15 mins preheat, 20 mins cook time and 5 min resting time.I then insert the probe into the meat and put it on the grill. The app shows an arc on the screen with actual internal temp and bbq temp. And it has a marker where you should flip the meat and alerts you when it’s time to remove from heat. It also gives you an alert that it will soon be time to flip the meat and when it’s close to being done. So you get both visual and audio cues. When you’ve removed it from heat it automatically goes into a stopwatch timer for the resting period. It makes your cooking bulletproof. WAY BETTER than I expected. I love this thing!!. Bought an additional probe so that I can separately monitor two different items for cooking to different doneness, or for cooking two different meats at the same time.My only complaint is minor. There is no on/off for the probes. They charge automatically when in the case. But only one can charge at a time. You can store 3Probes in the case at a time, but only one charges. So if you plan to use more than one probe and haven’t used it in awhile, allow 10-15 minutes to charge up the probe that hasn’t been charging. But other than that, the Chef IQ thermometer is AWESOME.You enter those parameters individually for each probe in advance when you setup a cook. And the app remembers what and when you’ve cooked something, so you can just use a ‘repeat’ previous cook if you’ve had great results that you want to replicate in the future.

Pretty nice but a few areas could be improved with software updates
Very nice setup but I did have the probes drop signal a few times saying the base wasn’t close enough (never dropped once while I had the 3 probes outside in my traeger but once I brought it inside and it was being used to transmit to the oven only 4’ away it would drop (only change was the brisket was wrapped in foil) and I know that can mess with stuff but I figured this wouldn’t be a problem since I used the instructions for the cook and it said to wrap in foil but never mentioned pulling probe and resticking it back in. Probes are definitely water proof.Only real con was the alarms- the unit base has a speaker in it- that’s cool except for I’m in bed hoping it’s going to tell me on my phone and not a speaker that 75’ away.Cool features are its recipe area, and cook time algorithm- it’s constantly checks and averages the time based on progress. So the time does update and I found it to be pretty accurate. I cut a huge brisket into 3 pieces and each had a different time to wrap it and a different estimated finish time. The onscreen interface is nice too- you can see all probes at the same time and click on which one and not have to navigate back n forth.

Excellent cooking tool. I have this and another famous wireless brand and they’re both great. The thing I like more about chef iq is its smaller; which makes it easier to use on smaller cuts of meat

My husband just loves this – uses it on the bbq and says it’s the best way to cook his steaks! Comes out perfect every time! Easy to clean too. The speaker is load and clear so you can follow it’s instructions very well. Highly recommend!
