Great Value
It’s really IPX7 waterproof. It uses a touch interface so water can’t get in through buttons, and it has a gasket around battery compartment door that is kept tight with screws. This does means you’ll need a screwdriver when replacing batteries, but at least the fasteners are captive. I’ve rinsed it under the sink for cleaning plenty of times without issue. Cheap scales I’ve owned in the past may claim to be waterproof when they’re only water resistant, and even then the claim is questionable for models with charging ports for built-in batteries.Other PROS: large bright display; remembers last units when powering on; beeps can be turned off; has auto-shutoff but it isn’t too fast (3min); runs on AAA batteries so you don’t have to worry about an internal rechargeable battery losing capacity over the years.CONS: does have a minimum weight around 3g; doesn’t come in black; the glass top, while attractive, makes it more fragile vs. commercial scales if you’re used to the latter.CAVEAT: I’ve only had this for a few weeks of daily use. It’s my third kitchen scale in 5 years but it’s clearly a step above the no-name brands of comparable price.

I dunno why other people are complaining about the accuracy. It’s been nothing but perfectly accurate for my kitchen use. I guess if you need JPL certified measurements, it may not be up to the task.

Good Product
This product works really well as a food scale and is very simple and easy to use. It is accurate, small, and light. The only problem I have with it is that it randomly will turn on even when nothing is touching it. This would not prevent me from buying it.

Arrived and doesn’t work just reads all 000 even after tare.
It appeared a little strange when I opened the box that the Kitchen Aid logo was faded,, but thought it was jut me, so I set the scale up and put a jar on it and from the beginning it would not Tare, it would not weigh and when it did weight it jsut did it when it wanted. I even slowed down thinking it was me trying to rush. tjhis is not the kind of product I expect from Kitchen Aid.
