Great for dementia patients—or anyone who forgets to take their pills & needs visual & audio cues!
This pill keeper has been an absolute game-changer for my mom, who’s living with dementia. We’ve tried several organizers before, but this is the first one that’s actually helped her stay on track with her medications without constant reminders from us.The built-in alarm and flashing light are incredibly helpful—loud and clear enough to get her attention without being jarring. She quickly learned that when it beeps and flashes, it’s time for her pills. The compartments are easy to open but secure, and I appreciate the clear labeling for different times of day. Not childproof but great device otherwise
This is a great way to help kids be more independent with self dosing and even elderly. Set up was easy and device works as it should.THIS DEVICE does not have a childproof mechanism. With that being said, I reached out to customer service and they returned my email the same day. They let me upgrade to the device that does have the childproof mechanism with no hassle.

6 weeks and it became a paperweight
We bought this for my mother-in-law to help her keep track of her medications. We had to return the first one after about a week, and the replacement quit working after 6 weeks.The main time display quit working which makes it impossible to set the alarms (my mil’s pills changed, so we needed to reset the alarms).Since it is just barely more than 30 days past the replacement date, we are sol and out the cost of the item.The quality aside, we found the setting up of the machine to be overly complicated and difficult.We do not recommend this product.

Works as described
So far it seems to work fine but the lid will only open about halfway which makes it somewhat awkward to fill. Also, the directions that came with it were about useless so expect to have to look online to get full instructions. All in all, have had it for 3 weeks and it’s working as it should.

You will need a magnifying glass and practically an IQ of 150 to figure this thing out!
I’m a former R.N. with a BS in Nursing and have a high I.Q. and even I had trouble setting up and programming this pill dispenser. Just when I finally thought I had it all figured out, it failed to alarm or light up at 7:45pm 3/20/23. (prior to this it always had alarmed at the proper time) I was on the phone with my 92-year-old mother waiting to make sure she took her pills. Fortunately, the carousel did rotate to the correct third position so she was able to access the proper pills. They have a 24/7 help line which I have twice reported my criticisms of the dispenser which also include the ring that you have to end up taping to the carousel (it has these tabs which were useless) The various rings are for how many times you need to take pill(s) per day. My mom has 3 times, so the ring is labeled 1, 2, 3 nine times (9 days) with one slot empty (there are 28 total slots for pills) Sometimes the number is not centered in the little window because the ring was not made correctly. You have to wait until she takes her very last pills on the 9th day, THEN refill the carousel for 9 days or it gets all screwed up. So I go over at 7:30pm on the 9th day and refill it after she takes her evening pills. And I take the pill bottles home with me so she can’t get into them and overdose herself. She has dementia. It is still very challenging but not as bad as when her pills were in the old Sunday through Saturday pill boxes. She even had a double AM/PM one! If you or your loved one does not have dementia, I would recommend getting one of these dispensers, but not this brand. I got it only because it was labeled as Amazon Prime and was 20% off. Sometimes less expensive does not mean better. Now I need to call Victor back tomorrow and tell him it failed to alarm and light up. Have been using it since Mar. 6, 2023 and today is Mar. 21, 2023. P.S. It is also very hard to read whether it says am or pm for the alarm times because it is so far to the right on the display and not dark enough print.

Takes the worry away.
When I first started reading the reviews, I always start with the one star review. I look for commonality amongst the reviewers. Are all the complaints about the same problem or feature or functionality. These I take to heart verses say 50 reviewers having 50 different complaints. Most of the complaints were geared towards programming the dispenser. I have had both good and bad experiences with the programming of equipment in my eighty years work experience. I had to go through it twice just to see what was happening after each step. Third try and it worked perfectly. I had one hiccup where one morning It skipped the first dispensing time but all the rest were on time. This happened two days in a row. I just started the programming over again and it has worked as designed so far. My wife has dementia and I set this on her desk and with the help of the audio alarm, she hasn’t missed a dosage. I highly recommend it as a very convenient way of insuring that your loved one will receive their medicine on time.

Thanks to the instructions this is easy to use but a bit of a pain to setup.Remember texting on the earlier cellphones?Well if you mess up you gotta click through everything again to set your settings and to check that they are correct.The best part is you just tip the device over to dispense the medicine behind the little sliding door. This action also stop the beeping alarm. You do have a choice to deal with the light blue flashing light to indicate it’s time for the dose. It comes with several cards to place in the device. I had it set for multiple doses per day and I found it works as set.It comes with extra locking keys but it’s not for locking the device from children.
