Accurate, Easy to Use, and Very Reliable
I recently purchased the Alcedo Blood Pressure Monitor for Home Use, and it has truly exceeded my expectations. It’s incredibly simple to set up, the instructions are clear, and the large display makes the readings easy to see for anyone, including older adults.The measurements are quick, consistent, and very accurate. I compared the results with readings taken at my doctor’s office, and they were almost identical. The cuff is comfortable, fits well, and doesn’t feel too tight.I also love that it stores multiple readings, which makes it easy to track my progress and share the information with my healthcare provider.

I bought this in a panic after going to the ER due to a facial droop and visual blind spots, which turned out to be a hemiplegic migraine. My blood pressure was 170/97, so my (perhaps not full rational)concern for a potential stroke led me to purchasing this piece of rquipment. Setting it up was fairly simple, it has several extra settings that I do not necessarily need, particularly the voice narration. But I easily turned the volume off and I understand it could be quite useful for others. The screen is large and easy to read. I do think getting the cuff on could be a little difficult for those with mobility issues, so having a second person could be beneficial. I appreciate the it can either use batteries or be plugged in using a micro USB.I’m hoping its accurate, because my BP at home, after my symptoms have improved, is now normal. 🤞

Convenient and easy to use at home
I purchased in 2019 and it’s still going strong. It just alerted me today for the first time that it needed new batteries when I was about to use it. It’s very handy and easy to use on a daily basis. After resting in a chair for 5 minutes with no talking, I take the reading. It talks you through it and even plays relaxing music while it’s pumping up. The reading is very easy to understand, giving you all the information you need. Great price as well. Highly recommend.

Wildly Inacurate – difficult to use!
I just purchased this yesterday on a special deal with delivery the same day. I regret the purchase and I am in the process of returning it.The systolic rating is up to 40 points higher than I’ve been seeing on my old machine. The diastolic is 10 – 30 points higher than expected. Only the pulse is within the expected range and it does detect my AFIB.I’ve been taking my BP at home for more than 35 years so I know what to expect. I keep track and chart it for my doctor who agrees they are accurate. This does not work – at least not for me.The cuff is supposed to handle up to 16.5″ circumference. My arm is 14″ and this cuff is too small! It’s at least 3 inches shorter than the cuff I have been using.The cuff must be placed EXACTLY over the artery. Most cuffs have a little lee-way but this gives an error if you don’t have it just right. It also must be much tighter than other cuffs or it gives an error.It is incredibly difficult to use. It works BACKWARDS! Traditional BP monitors pump up and then register as the pressure releases for the actual reading. This one only goes UP! It tracks everything on the way up and then it just releases all the pressure at once. I think that is part of the inaccuracy.It’s just not worth the higher readings to try to get it to work when it obviously won’t work!If you are keeping track of your readings for your doctor — avoid this thing!

I had to return another BP monitor for failing after 3 uses and the screen was faulty – it was in the £17 price range – I opted to spend a bit more this time and I got this version with the batteries/mains cable and the carry case – it was around £21. I can immediately tell its better quality – it feels solid with a good quality cuff and hose -these wont break or deteriorate any time soon. The case is good quality and I need it more than I thought. The big thing for me was the instructions – The quick start guide specifically – nice and clear, no grammar/spelling errors, large enough to be clear and understandable and is very easy to follow. They do provide a full product description in addition but you don’t really need it, but the quick start guide is large and separate. I have used it now several times and works quickly, fairly quietly and then can be stored away neatly in a cupboard. If you are feeling swamped with the volume of the monitors around this price range – this one I recommend.

Having diagnosed with high blood pressure and using a machine provided by my GP I s decided to purchase my own.This product is so easy to use and provides the exact same readings as the one that I borrowed.It even provides soothing music whilst the test takes place and tells you the catagory of the result. I’m very impressed and would highly recommend this product
