Product description

Why is cold therapy needed? How long should cold therapy be used?
Short-term local cold therapy is commonly used to relieve pain and reduce swelling. Multiple clinical reviews and rehabilitation practices indicate that cryotherapy reduces local metabolism and causes vasoconstriction, which can help reduce acute inflammation and short-term pain; it is a common adjunctive measure for post-operative and acute injuries. Cold therapy can be repeated as needed with intervals; the specific duration of use should follow your doctor’s recommendations.

Why choose a cold therapy machine instead of a traditional ice pack?
A cold therapy machine circulates ice water continuously, provides more even cooling, and reduces the hassle of repeatedly replacing ice; the dedicated pads fit joints better and are more convenient for bed or nighttime use. Compared with a single ice pack,a machine is more convenient and is better suited for long-term or repeated post-operative rehabilitation needs.

Why recommend a hard-shell design? How does it differ from a soft-shell?
A hard-shell cold therapy machine uses thick-wall insulation and an integral molding structure, similar in principle to outdoor cooler boxes. It delivers longer cold retention, stronger resistance to compression/tipping, and more reliable sealing; the soft-shell option is lightweight and cheaper but generally offers shorter cold retention, is prone to collapse or leakage, and is more suitable for short trips or occasional use—often leading to repeat purchases.

What modes and functions are available? Is it complicated to use?
The device supports three timing modes (cycle mode: work/rest cycle; countdown mode: shuts off after set time; continuous mode: runs continuously). Time is adjustable from 05–99 minutes in 5-minute increments; the device also features a temperature display/control interface. Standard workflow: add water and ice → connect pad → select mode → start. It’s easy to use; the product includes an instruction manual and a video tutorial.

Ice machine with easy set on off cycles !
I am having therapy on my knees and I need to ice for 2 hours after treatment. I fill with water follow with frozen ice bottles and crushed ice. It remains cold for approximately 8hrs. It is easy to set timer on and off, it cycles itself. Very great tool for aching joints!

Good for the money
Works well. Easy setup. Bought for my daughter who had knee surgery. Wish I had bought for my surgery the year before. Runs quietly so didn’t disturb her sleep. Long hose. Able to put beside the bed.

Reliability is suspect- buyers beware
Prepurchased this machine for an upcoming kneed surgery. Tested it & used it on existing pain. It worked great….however about a month it developed little issue…biggest of which was th inability to keep my knee cooled down…its supposed to keep cold to the pad 10-12 hrs…I’m barely getting 3 hours of usable cooling now just after 2 months…I’m very disappointed in this product. I would NOT buy it again & I will NOT recommend it. I gave it 1 star cuz it won’t let me give zero stars.

Motor is not very durable for longer than 6 weeks of continued use.
Great product for meniscus surgery recovery. However, after 6 weeks of use, the motor is not very durable, it needs a few heavy “taps” to get it to pump the water. Timer is a great feature. I use frozen water bottles and cold water instead of wasting tons of ice. Keeps the water bottles frozen for at least 8 hours.

Has helped after knee replacement to keep my knee from swelling
This cold therapy machine was a life saver. After knee replacement, it’s recommended to set this up and run it for 20 minutes, then off for 40 minutes and then back on again. We were also told to use this for up to 6 weeks. The cold keeps the knee from swelling. Which then allows the knee to bend easier. I used frozen bottles of water in mine, and it stayed cold more than 12 hours. When the bottles thawed out, just swap them with new frozen water bottles. With this unit having a remote control, it was easy to turn off and unplug when you needed to get up and move around. I looked at several models online, but this looked to offer the most at a comfortable price.

Good purchase
Works great! I use 5-6 juice bottles of frozen water and it lasts all day into tge morning. I did tape over 3/4 of the velcro tabs bc they are so hard to undo. I have arthritic hands making it even harder. The tape works well.
