Perfect for nighttime
Used after shoulder surgery. Works great during the day but is absolutely wonderful at night since it can be programmed to cycle for time on and off continuously. I am able to unhook the hoses one handed but cannot reconnect with only one hand. If I don’t have help with that, then to move about I need to disconnect the remote/power cord and carry the filled ice water unit with me using non-surgical arm. Not impossible but it’s cumbersome and worth thinking about ahead of time. Froze water in 9 1-liter bottles in order to have 3 sets of ice blocks to swap out every 4-5hrs. Better than adding loose ice because it doesn’t melt and have to be emptied the way loose ice does. Just replace the 3 melted bottles with 3 frozen bottles and you’re ready to go. Also less heavy than if it were full of water/melted ice.

love this. sorry typing w/ left hand. only issue one connection has a drip. so far not bad. so glad I don’t have to ask my friend to return ice pack to and from the freezer every 30 mins. recommend this

Research and find the good ones
Worked for one week, then started leaking from the hose connection at the machine base. So disappointing as I just had rotator cuff surgery for the THIRD time, and was in a ton of pain, needless to say I really needed this machine to work without leaking all over. The kicker is I ordered a better one then, or so I thought, and that one actually leaked from the actual machine itself!!! It was dripping from the power cord plug too 😳 I went back to ice packs, until I can really research n find a GOOD machine 🤷🏻♀️

The doctor provided machine broke the day of surgery! I bought this one during a drug haze at 2am and am so glad I did! I use it every single day! I’ve shared the product link with family and friends because it was such an easy machine and the timer options were the best! Highly recommend!

Unfortunately this did not work for me
Currently diagnosed with a cuff/three complete tears in the right shoulder. I’ve been trying products and have purchased and returned so many products I’ve lost count. I’m trying to find something to reduce the pre-surgery pain and also to use post surgery as well.After trying multiple types of ice packs I decided to purchase and try this ice therapy machine since the reviews were good. Once unpacked I quickly learned the product had the same three issues I’ve had with ALL the others I’ve purchased and returned, which are:1. difficult/to near impossible to navigate by myself with two arms/hands, so how am I expected to do this with one arm after surgery?2. The pad that came with my machine was specific to the shoulder and it was awkwardly shaped and didn’t fit well – the same issue I had with all the other ice therapy products I’ve tried. While, visually it appears as if it would work, but it was packaged folded in half, which caused a large crease down the center and had a tendency to fold back on itself while trying to get it on with fumbling with the straps. This added to the frustration of trying to get this on by myself3. I had the same issue with the straps with this product as I had encountered with the others, the Velcro would not adhere properly, which in conjunction with #1 and #2, just giving upUnfortunately, this resulted in returning this product; to begin the search for something else….again.

Worth every penny!
This ice machine has been a life saver for my husband’s rotator cuff surgery recovery. The fact that you can put it on, program it, and not bother with it again is amazing. It’s such a time saver! This was worth every penny!!*Our original hoses did start to leak after a few days. We contacted the company and they immediately sent replacement hoses. That fixed the problem.

NOT user friendly after surgery for ONE person use! Leaks but works!
I had one similar after my last shoulder surgery back in 1999 so I ordered another one, it makes it so convenient for icing after … or so I thought!This particular unit is not designed for a person to use after surgery with one hand or arm, and even at that anything you do with your free arm affects your surgical arm.To connect the hose is VERY difficult and nearly impossible with one hand. Having to press down on the button and at the same time grab the hose to connect it?? Really? The amount of pain you are in after shoulder surgery is quite high … the animals cannot help to connect it!I used frozen water bottles and added water but it still needed to be dumped. Again, difficult to do. Maybe add a bottom drain to drain out the water so it does not have to be lifted and dumped.That being said, the unit does leak out of the bottom, the hose connection, and the shoulder pad.The timer function is VERY helpful and the unit does what it says its supposed to do.It ONLY stays cold for 6 hours with 8 frozen cold water bottles and water filled just below the line NOT the 12 hours the mfg claims.Its a nice lightweight unit and would be great if they could get these issues fixed!

Works but constantly leaks/customer support amazing
It would be amazing if it didn’t constantly drip from the connectors. I have disconnected and reconnected and switched the hose around and it’s still a constant drip.Changing to 5 stars because the customer support was amazing. They contacted me and fixed any issue I had.
