This is worth the purchase if you have a major surgery that requires you to use ice packs multiple times a day. It does what it says it’s going to do. I had absolutely no problems with it. Easy to use.

There are so many things about this cold therapy machine that I am really impressed with.The main base is a cooler, similar to the old igloo ones back in the day. You put water and ice in it (or water and plastic bottles of frozen water, a tip from the manufacturer), connect it to the power cable, connect it to the tubes, and connect those to the cuff/brace.I didn’t anticipate that it would keep it as cold as it did for as long as it did, but I love it! I use this when I’m working or when I’m going to bed, and it’s quiet enough that it doesn’t interfere with either.The cooler is leak-proof and has a carrying handle so you can move it to wherever you want, one-handed.There are a few things that are NOT one-handed for me, though. Opening the cooler is a bit hard to do with one hand, as it does have that tight, leak-proof seal to it. Connecting it to power and to the tubes is easy and can be done with one hand, but putting the actual cuff on the shoulder is next to impossible. It wasn’t even all that easy for me to do with TWO hands. However, having someone else put it on for me was easy for them to do since they could move around me to get the strap from my shoulder, around my back, around my chest, and then velcro’d it into place. Just know if you’re trying to do this all by yourself, you may have to get creative on how to maneuver it in place.The pump is easy to take apart for cleaning and easy to put back together, though not quite as easy if you have to do it one-handed.The cuff is very sizable; it fits me perfectly, but would also fit someone quite a bit bigger or smaller than me. Between the cuff and the straps that hold it in place, I am pretty sure this would fit pretty much anyone who could possibly need it!The cuff itself is specifically shaped to work on the shoulder, but I have also used it on my cervical spine (upper shoulder/neck area) and my leg.As for the connecting tubes that carry the water to and from the cuff, they are SUPER easy to connect and disconnect. There is a push button to release it, and to put it on, it just snaps into place.I am just so thankful to have found this machine. It works well, it’s of excellent quality, it’s easy to use, and it really, REALLY helps with pain relief!

Machine pumps but does not chill
I just started using this cold therapy machine for my shoulder. Setting it up was simple, fill the cooler with water and ice, connect the tubes, and attach the shoulder cuff. The cuff fits well and the straps hold it in place comfortably with no leaks.I was a bit disappointed that the machine does not cool the water on its own and I have to supply my own ice. The pump is quiet enough to run while I sleep, and the cold from the ice lasts a long time. I feel some relief in my shoulder after using it, and the machine seems well built and easy to clean.

Good quality cold therapy
This is nice quality and works really well for relieving pain and swelling after my shoulder surgery. The setup was simple and the instructions were clear, so I was able to get it running right away. The tubing and connectors feel sturdy, and I have not had any leaks on the quick connects yet, which gives me confidence when using it for long sessions. My Shoulder Finally Feels Like A Normal Shoulder (Mostly)
This cold therapy system is built heavy duty. The connections are easy to manage and set up quickly. The cooler holds 9 quarts and has a nice seal, which works well to prevent leaks, even when moving the unit slightly. It handles long periods of use without issue.The machine pumps ice cold water without any problems, which is exactly what you need after shoulder surgery. The strap attaches over the shoulder and fits correctly. This makes wearing the pad comfortable and efficient for treatment.The controls are on a remote connected to the power source. The remote allows you to control the flow speed and features a timer function, making it easy to schedule sessions. I do wish the whole setup was cordless, as that would make repositioning simpler.
