A very helpful tool!!!!
This automatic pill dispenser is great – helps people who need some support maintain independence with their medication management. This is locked and automatic and can be set for 28 days. It has audio and visual alerts up to six times daily. This helps ensure that the correct med is taken at the correct time, and that there are no skipped or doubled doses. A great tool to help make sure meds are taken correctly!!! it is easy to set up and use, and gives great peace of mind. Comes with a frosted or clear cover, you choose. The price is great, worth it’s weight in gold to know that you can set up meds for 28 days and your loved one will be prompted to take them – a great add to the phone call reminders you are already making. Also helpful that it has a clock on the front! The design is pretty, and again – so easy to use, for both the one setting it up and the one taking the meds, all in all a great product!!!!!

If you need a pill dispenser for once or twice a day, this EMP EZIMEDPIL dispenser might be a little overkill. If you need one that covers various time intervals and has built in alarms to remind you when to take your medicine, this is the perfect solution. It is not the easiest dispenser in the beginning but once you get used to, it works like a charm. And please do not lose the keys provided for locking the unit. The overall size is on the large scale, and the design is very user friendly and appears to be durable. The pill organizer allows plenty of customization considering it has 28 compartments and there are 9 dosage rings you can play with. It you get this for an elderly parent please make sure you have someone familiar with technology to assist. Overall, a great solution for someone requiring pill taking with complex scheduling. At sixty Dollars currently it’s not cheap – but it’s great for peace of mind.

Great for taking medications on time
This automatic pill dispenser is exactly what I needed to remind me to take my medications on time. It would be great for caregivers, or for people who may have memory issues.This pill dispenser is easy to use. It is well made, and seems durable. It can hold up to 28 days of pills if only taking medications once a day. It comes with several different dose rings that allow you to set up the dispenser for taking medications from 1 to 6 times a day.After installing the included batteries, setting up the clock and alarms was quick and simple. Once I added my medications, I used the key to lock the dispenser so the pills are held securely inside.At my scheduled times, the dispenser sounds an alarm, and flashes to let me know it’s time for my medication. To turn off the alarm, I just flip the dispenser upside down to pour out the pills.

This is very difficult to use. The nurse spent a long time figuring out how to use it. She is young and tech savvy. We have our fingers crossed it will work. I may still send it back. I do not recommend this product.

Pill Dispenser With Alarm and Lock Features
If you need an insistent audible and visual alarm to remind you to take your meds, this pill dispenser may be for you. It combines a circular pillbox having 28 compartments with automation to rotate the box to the next compartment and sound (and flash) a alarm to remind you to take the meds in a given compartment at the appointed time. It operates with 4 AA batteries (included). There are 9 label overlays to set up the dispenser for various numbers of times per day for the reminders. For 1x a day, the capacity is 28 days, 2x – 14 days, and so on up to 6x -4 days. Although there are 9 rings, there are only 6 variations – there are 2 2x rings and 3 3x rings to accommodate different schedules. To set up your meds, you put the correct overlay on the device and then fill each compartment with the appropriate pills. The dispenser can be locked for security and 2 keys are included. There are good instructions on putting the batteries in and opening the box to put your meds in the compartments.The schedule is set up manually via buttons and the LCD screen on top of the pillbox. This process is a little tedious but the instructions do a good job of walking you through the process. Just take your time and you’ll get there.Once set up the pillbox works pretty well. It sounds and flashes the alarm at the appointed time and rotates the box to the next compartment.I don’t think this is a pillbox you would use while travelling if space in your suitcase is at a premium. I think it would be great to set up for an elderly person or anyone who needs reminders to take meds. It’s a little pricy but if an automated pill dispenser appeals to you and you can handle the price, this one is worth a look.
