    My Family Really Likes It
I got this foot massager with the idea that it would sit under my desk where I work from home. Winter will be here soon and I was hoping it would keep my feet warm with the massage function being an added bonus. It only sat under my desk for about an hour before my family moved it to our living room so they could use it.It’s very generic. I don’t even know what brand it is or even if it has a brand. The bottom half is made out of hard plastic and the top half is made out of a flexible plastic. It feels well made. It zips in half so the socks where your feet go can be removed and washed which is a nice touch. I did put them through the wash and it worked well. They have Velcro pads on them so you need to be careful to keep it from snagging other cloths. The power cord connects to a short cord on the device so if you move your feet around too much, it’s more likely to disconnect there than pull the cord from the wall socket. That’s a good thing but sometimes it disconnects with minor movement so maybe the connection could be a little better. There are 4 settings on it which are Heat, Knead, Intensity and Vibration. Heat goes low/high/off. The rest of the settings go low/med/high/off. Knead controls the speed of the rollers at the soles of your feet. Intensity is like an airbag that hugs your feet from above and pushes them into the rollers. Vibration is like a vibrating cell phone at a larger scale. The massager runs for 15 minutes before turning itself off.The first time I used this, I put all settings on high and I couldn’t make it through the whole 15 minutes. It was a feeling that can only be described as a plant eating dinosaur chewing on my feet. Not in a completely bad way, but it was very much there. It actually did hurt my arches a little and now I keep everything at low settings for the most part. The roller that pushes into the arches of my feet sit a little higher than I’d like. Maybe my arches are just sensitive.I wasn’t sure about this at first and I still have mixed feelings but it’s been used every day by multiple people in my family since we’ve owned it so I’m giving it 5 stars. I thought the novelty would have worn off by now but my family really likes it. It’s probably not going back under my desk which is fine. I don’t think my feet would feel good resting on the rollers for extended periods of time even with the rollers off.

    A very powerful knead
I’m not sure how sensitive the bottoms of people’s feet are on average, but when I first used this I thought I wasn’t going to make it through a complete cycle. The kneading motion of the shiatsu balls was intense! And I was only on the lowest setting! I was actually thinking my tender little soles were going to be bruised or something. Those kneading orbs are hard and powerful. Oh, well, I thought, I’ll just turn off that part, but when I did I realized that I was missing out on the only part that mattered. The heat is really nothing to write home about. So much so that the settings rather than “hi” and “lo” ought to be “is the heat on?” and “oh, yeah, there’s a little heat.” The vibration and compression, while noticeable and pleasant, are not really going to do the whole job to soothe tired feet. So my advice on the kneading thing is to stick with it. You get used to it…and then you start to notice the benefit. And the kneading motion is quite varied so you don’t get used to a monotonous repetitive motion that some cheaper massagers have.Speaking of cheaper, I was a bit surprised at the higher price point of this one but it does seem well-constructed and, as I mentioned, powerful. There’s a zipper all the way around the shell, but it won’t come all the way off. The reason for it is that you have to be able to reach in to release the elastic bands holding the sock portions in. Once you do that you can pull out the sock parts of the fabric that contact your feet, pull a couple of velcro tabs apart, then unzip and remove them for cleaning. The socks have zippers around their circumference as well. Needless to say, but I will anyway, disconnect power first. Yes, it’s low-voltage but you don’t want it starting up while your hands are in there. Note that it takes a bit of dexterity to get the band hooked back in again. By the way, there is absolutely no mention of how to do this in the little instruction manual that comes with it. I figured it out based on thinking that the zippers had to be there for a reason so I started poking here and there until I saw how it went together. One other thing about the construction that I’m not sure about is the power connector. The wall brick plugs in and has about six feet of cable to get to an inline connector on a very short pigtail right near the unit. That connector is quite loose. I’ve accidentally knocked the plug out just by bumping it with my foot. I’m not really sure if it’s that way on purpose as a safety feature but just something to be aware of if every unit is like that.I’ve owned, and been disappointed by, a few massager products always hoping to find a magic bullet for muscle pain. This is the first one I’ve owned that I actually use routinely because it really helps.

    Foot relief
I spend all day on my feet, so I’m always in need of a good foot massage. This one has a sleek look and offers a few massage features that do a great job working out the kinks. The material is soft and comfortable against the skin, and I like that it has separate buttons for each of the massage functions so they can all be used together or separately for a nice range of optionsMy size 11 feet fit in comfortably with a little room to spare. This thing really works the feet with a combination of a kneading massage on the bottom, air pressure, heat, and vibration. The kneading comes from rotating nodes on the bottom that mimic the feel of someone pressing and releasing that helps relieve tension. There are air pockets on the sides that inflate and deflate to put pressure on the rest of the foot. It also increases the pressure on the kneading nodes for a deep massageThe heat offers a nice soothing warmth with a couple temperature levels, and the vibration aids in the all around massage. Both the compression and kneading functions have a few levels of intensity that will increase the speed and pressure, and even on the middle settings it gets pretty tight. Your feet will thank you when you are done. It was a little painful the first time I used it because my feet were so tight and sore, but they felt great afterwardEverything is easily controlled using push buttons on the top. It does have to be plugged in, but the power cord is fairly long. I also like that the material inside can be removed for easy cleaningI’ve tried a few different foot massage devices, and this is the best one I’ve used. It offers a nice mix of features for the perfect foot massage
