Focused red light and heat
So, I can’t say for certain whether this lamp has lessened pain in any particular area, but I can say for sure that it’s really nice to have focused heat like this. Red light therapy is a huge market, and people swear by it. If all the claims are true, then this is a product to get. I would advise strongly about having pets and children nearby when using, though. I use it on my neck and shoulders where stress tends to reside on my body. It adjusts to focus on wherever you want it. Again, I can’t say that red light specifically works for me, but having that heat on my worst shoulder is a blessing. And if nothing else, it makes me sit still for a while, breathe, relax. This product is well-made, at least, except for the occasional metal cage piece. It has heat levels, and heats up really fast. This is especially welcomed in the colder season. Definitely a keeper!—–I am reviewing the product, “Infrared Heat Lamp with Timer, Red Light Therapy for Body Muscle Joint Pain Relief, 150W Near Infrared Bulb with Sturdy Adjustable Base” [sic].

It works!
I’ve been doing some research on red light therapy and migraines. It’s supposed to help. We shall see. The lamp is very cool looking and reminds me of what I used to use for my reptiles. When using it as a heat lamp, my cats like to come over and join me. Setting it up was a bit tricky and required my husband’s help. I may have been able to do it myself, but it was nice to have a second set of hands when putting on the cage. I haven’t noticed any difference since starting to use the red light therapy part of the lamp, but I will continue, as it’s not an overnight process. It takes time.

Proud Red Light “District” Girl! All the satisfaction and none of the shame!
I’ve been using this heat lamp mainly for my knees, shoulder and lower back pain, and it’s been a nice addition to my home setup. The warmth it gives off is deep and soothing, not just surface-level heat. I usually set it for about 15 minutes at a medium to high temperature, and by the end, I feel looser. The adjustable stand is sturdy, which prevents it from tipping easily. I can angle it exactly where I need it without concern. I did, however, have to adjust and turn around the “head of the lap” for it to angle the correct way. The screw at the bottom, to connect the lamp to the base, is also a little problematic. You do not have good space to be able to turn it effectively using your fingers. I also thought the metal “grate” for the bulb was cumbersome to get on.The 10 temperature settings are nice, though I do like the higher range; the higher settings get very warm, so you have to be mindful of distance.I haven’t used it long enough to know long term effects, but it definitely helps me relax and eases tension after a long day. The timer is a great feature because I can set it and not worry about accidentally overdoing it (especially if I fall asleep). It’s not a magic cure, but as a supplemental tool for relief and relaxation, it’s been worth trying around.
