Utility of the blocks depends on how you use blocks
I have used this yoga set now for several weeks and like most things there are pluses and minuses. With all yoga blocks there are three positions that allow for low, medium, and high support. The ergonomic modifications of the blocks are designed primarily for the medium (photo1) and high positions (photo 2). These modifications can be useful for poses that involve bending over. They help you grip the block. For other types of poses you can turn over the block and have a smooth side in either the medium (photo 3) or high (photo 4) position. The problem occurs if you want to use it in the low position, which is how I usually use blocks. There is no smooth side regardless of which way you turn it (photos 5 & 6). This is a drawback. The knee pads are fine. The center is softer than the outside, but I found whether I used them or not didn’t seem to affect the slight knee pain I have. Also, the pads were often were in the way. Finally, the strap is a strap. It’s a nice addition to the set, but is a standard strap. In my opinion if you use blocks on the medium or high position and want some additional support this is a good set. If you primarily use them in the low position you might not use them very often.

There are several blocks out there that offer ergonomic grip and I tried a couple, but these are a clear winner and I found them the most comfortable to use. Took black this time as the lighter color will get dirty over time.Just started with those and will adjust review as needed, but so far they are great!
