A Post-Op Heaven of Chill
I had my ruptured plantar plate and toes repaired with screws and plate – the swelling in my foot was painful before the sutures came out, and nothing was helping. An athlete friend said she uses this chill machine, and I got this one. The collapsible cooler will store well and the box is smaller than the total of the parts that come from it. It set up easily within minutes. I filled it with chilled water, popped a couple of frozen water bottles inside, and started to figure out how to wrap my foot. The pump does have a low hum, but it’s not an invasive sound. The instructions are insufficient to understand what wraps are included and how to apply them.This unit comes with a “universal wrap”, but apparently, the feet aren’t usually in a universal shape. Wrapping was awkward and clumsy, but once I figured out how to make an enchilada-style wrap, my foot slid inside, and Heaven began.The chill that came through was marvelous, and, now, I sit with my foot inside this slipper for hours a day. It’s made a remarkable difference in the swelling. The timer shuts the chill flow off every 30 minutes, but I’m quick to click it back on. The slight compression as the wrapper expands feels like a well-deserved hug, and my foot smiles and says thank you.I recommend this simple unit for anyone with post-op places that swell or develop sensitive nerves and that need drug-free remedies. I wish I’d had this system for past surgeries. The chilled flow is comforting and effective and has made a huge difference in the speed of my recovery.

No muss / no fuss! This was a great help
Very very helpful! My brother bought it for his wife ahead of her knee replacement. It got the swelling down and kept it down, speeding up her recovery. I bought it for my husband and he had excellent results. I see folks complaining about leaks, but if you follow directions it won’t happen. I used two sets of recyled iced tea bottles. 8 in the cooling bag and eight in the freezer getting ready for next session. Only about 2 cups of water in cooling bag to travel through the cooling hose and wrap. No muss / no fuss! This was a great help. I will keep it in a safe place for future use!

Works great for the price
Works great, but does not keep ice water cold for more than 3-4 hours. We just added ice periodically to keep it cold. Also have to be very careful with the zipper. It gets cross threaded easily. It’s been great following knee surgery, much lighter than frozen gel packs and keeps temp pretty constant as long as you keep some ice in the cooler bucket. We also supplemented with frozen cooler ice packs. It will adjust to fit to knee comfortably, has plenty of hose and is pretty quiet. It’s been a game changer!

Well worth the money
Every now and then a product comes along that exceeds my expectations and this is one of them. It actually works like it should, is well built, and easy to use. The hose shown in the pictures has dual disconnects on each end that have valves in them so when the hose is disconnected, the water does not drain from the hose. The pump really is quiet, its a 12V “pond pump” in a nice plastic enclosure with a mating connector for the hose set. The cold wrap has velcro straps that make it easy to wrap up a joint to get the cooling effect. The control pod as a timer built in. The wires could be longer but nothing a simple coaxial extension cord cant fix. The cooler bag has enough insulation so it does not sweat all over the place.I suggest you invest in a 2 gallon plastic pail to set in the cooler bag to hold the water. This bag is floppy and I dont trust it for being waterproof for very long. Using a bucket allows you to move the water easily, when you take the pump out of the water it drains all over the place so using a bucket lets you control where that happens. Bonus: you can put the bucket in the refrigerator so the water is already cold before you add ice.If I had to suggest changes for V2.0, I would have the return line into the pump discharge outside the pump housing, right now the warmed water returns directly onto the pump intake.

Wonderful product! Saved me after my total knee replacement!
This save me during my total knee replacement recovery. Told my Dr that he needs to tell his patients about this product. It was so easy to use, it stayed cold for a full 48 hours. It was large enough for me to use 1 gallon jugs in it… I froze two 1-gallon water jugs and just switched them out every two days during my recovery. This machine was worth it’s weight in gold. Even had my friend buy one before her knee surgery so she’d be prepared beforehand. It was a lifesaver in pain and swelling management ! Soooo much better than ice packs and STAYS cold! It’s very well-made and is very quiet when running. Very well worth the money. Highly recommend!

Got the job done until it broke
I bought this machine for my first knee replacement in May 2025. The machine was wonderful, worked well was easy to manage and had a timer and I liked it very much. Last week I had my secondary replacement and have been using the machine. This morning,the bucket of the water and ice are replaced and spring a leak and wound up all over my floor.

Works better than ice packs! Using for Knee Replacement ice therapy.
I got the least expensive model because I didn’t know if I would like it. Well, I do. It works fine- and it’s better than switching ice packs, because large ice packs for your knee are expensive and 20 min on and 20 min off means you have to have a lot of ice packs- they take time to freeze back up (I had a knee replacement). With this, I set it up and I can sit for a few hours. It has an auto timer that turns off after 30 min; so 30 min on and 30 min off and I can go through a few hours of ice therapy without getting up. Because this is a painful recovery! I recommend this device. ALso. MOst people don’t have that much ice in their freezer. You have to buy a few bags of ice, but if you have a storage freezer, you can get a few. I use 1/2 a bag of ice per 4 hour session.
