Out of 5 similar machines, this one feels the best.
The question with which I try to start out all my reviews is … If I had it to do over again, would I order this? My answer is yes … and no. If this was $100, or less, yes I would. At the current price of $140, no I wouldn’t.I own 5 similar foot massagers, which we’ve either received as gifts or to review over the years. I will say that this one probably feels the best. It doesn’t crush my pinkie toe … or my big toe … which is a common problem for me with the other machines. This feels the most relaxing. Most of the unit’s zone is the ball of your foot and the toe area. Your heels won’t get much action.I like that this uses spinning balls at the bottom to massage your feet. While the air channels don’t do a lot for me, other than make the bottom of my feet press into the rolling balls more, this is so great after a long day at work or a running workout. I like how it’s firm enough to relax me but gentle enough where my pinkie toe doesn’t get crushed.A few downsides are that the little sleeves your feet slide into are a bit floppy around the edges and you need to really adjust it before you get going. Getting your feet in can be hard without using a finger to smooth out the edges as you put your feet in Also, like with any of the other 5 machines I own, I can’t really feel any heat.The chord in the back of the unit is unfortunate. The side would have been a bitter place for the chord. Especially so because it is no easy to move the unit too far from the wall without accidently unplugging the connection from the unit. The wall chord is about 4 feet long, so you’ll need to be somewhat near a wall outlet but will have some room to use this.I wear a size 12 or 12.5 US men’s shoe and my wife wears a size 8 women’s. It fits both our feet fine but had I wore a 13, I may not fit both my feet in due to the front edge of the unit coming too close. See my picture of my foot outside of the massager.The controls are spartan but it’s easy to operate the machine. I like that it gives you a longer intervals of times, which other similar units do not. I think you can go up to 30 minutes on this, which is nice because 15 minutes feels too short. After trying the 3 different modes, they all felt the same.Overall, I wouldn’t ever pay more than a hundred bucks for this. At the time of this review, I think it’s $140. While that is way too much for this, I would easily pay $100 as it performs better than Sharper Image or Conair units. $70 seems like the value I’d say aligns. I hope my video, pictures and honest review, after actually using the product, are helpful to your shopping.

Good massage in general, but massage of the heal is lacking

The remote also worked without issue, I just had to make sure to point it at the unit. The heat, air compression and modes all functioned well with an exception noted below. It does have more pronounced/aggressive kneading bumps than another unit I have. Which makes for a slightly more intense massage that increases with higher air pressure.Modes 1 & 3 it was almost painful with full compression when it ran underneath the ball of my foot right under the big toe. I could feel something shift, a tendon perhaps, each time the larger bump went across it. I did mention that the bumps were a bit more aggressive. After a few minutes it began to subside and mellowed out a bit. Mode 2 did not have this issue as it went in the opposite direction. Also, the moving/rotating part of the massage goes to about the center of my foot, not quite reaching my heal and there looks like there is a reason for that. Sadly, there was no movement under my heal, it’s apparently just a fixed set of bumps. Which is a shame as that would complete the foot massage. The massage that this provides does feel really good though, as long as I’m on Mode 2 or Mode1/3 if the air compression is at low or medium.Other than that, it does a good job. As a whole foot massage, it just seems lacking and gives the win to my older unit even though it’s less aggressive, it does have full foot coverage.

Best paired with a hot tea
Tried this on a “my back aches and I’m done with today” kind of afternoon – which is honestly the perfect testing environment. If a foot massager can relax me under those conditions, it’s doing something right.I love it – with some caveats. Here is my list:- I was originally a little worried, because of the size 12 in the description. My feet are between 5.5 and 6.5, and they fit beautifully, as seen in the picture.- Still, even at my size, the massager misses part of the heel. It might be more of a problem with larger feet – the massager focuses on the toe base and midfoot/arch area, not the heel.- The heat level is comfortable, nice, but it takes a bit to get established. If you are doing a 15 minute massage… it’s slow.- I like the level of pressure – you can choose between 3 levels, and I find myself picking the highest all the time.- The device has three modes, which seem to affect the movement of the massage… balls I guess?- Interestingly, I was able to use it even on days where I had just hit a toe against furniture – toes seem safe with it, at least for my feet size.- The result is very relaxing, and can help with tension pain.- Pet peeve – the power supply is one of those bubble things that you plug directly in the wall – not the best option if you are looking for space in a power strip.Overall? I love it. It’s officially my couch’ new accessory. Too bad it doesn’t fit under it.
