Not what it claims!!!
I was looking for pill dispenser that would remind me to take my medicines (especially my seizure meds) and notify me and my husband’s phones if I forgot so I can take some from my reserve stash at work so I don’t have a seizure. I am in my mid forty’s and this took me 3 hours to program and set up and I am good with technology. It was so frustrating. We never got my husband’s phone set up because when you connect his it disconnected mine for some reason. You can have more than one fingerprint, but I believe the fingerprint was only for loading the medicine. The bluetoothe connection only worked if the phone was almost directly over it. Since there was no battery it had to be plugged in at all times so that it could be “charged” to spin the medicine to drop it at the correct time. It did beep for about 15 minutes continuously and flash green when it was time to take your medicine and it was easy to push and slide out the pill tray. It even nicely said thank you when you returned the tray after taking your medicine. I liked that it had the fingerprint and a key that you could insert in the bottom as back up to keep that much medicine locked up. We have a little one at home and I didn’t like having that much medicine out at once. It was also I nice feature to not have to lift the entire thing up to get the dose because it is big and will fill up your night stand.A few times this week a pill or 2 got stuck and I had to use the enclosed tweezers to get them. When I knew I was going to be out later than normal I changed the evening timer to an hour later. Big Mistake! If you have an android at least I could not find a setting so it does not sync to your google calendar automatically. You already have to create an app to use the device and it has its own calendar, but anytime you change or look at anything in the app it adjust it on your google calendar. I had seen reviews where it was nice to have all your medicine listed in the app for when you go to the doctors as well as a few others reporting medicine sometimes got stuck so I listed all my medicines thinking it might just help with how it drops or something. Anyway it doesn’t it just creates a different event on google calendar for each medicine even if you only take am and pm medicine so when I pushed back the time one hour it created roughly 16 new events everyday, every week, for every upcoming month! Also it doesn’t not send an audible alert to the phone if you miss your dose!!!!! In your notifications you will see a tiny message. The purpose was so we were notified and could be aware. This does not make you aware with a light, sound, or message across the screen.Last night I was so tired I decided to use the advance mode where you can move the medicine tray and take it ahead of time. I went into the app and marked already taken so I could go ahead and sleep (which epileptic patients need!) It marked it and thanked me. 2 hours later the medicine container wakes be blaring it’s alarm and flashing it’s green light and drops the next dose (which would be for the next day!) I could not find a way to back it up. If I left it in the morning it would have dropped the evening dose on top of that dose and my next 13 days would all be off. I had to put that dose in another empty spot, advance it to drop the next evening dose and then find an empty spot for it and go to bed and try to figure out a solution in the morning. This morning I reread the handouts it shipped with and everything has to scan QR codes to watch dubbed videos. It took me 2 hours to figure out how to reset to factory reset. And I asked for a refund. Just found out I’m losing $21 dollars because It’s used. I got it the evening of October 28th and returned the morning of Nov. 5th. I am so frustrated. I don’t think I’ve been this overwhelmed and frustrated with a device and company in a long time.

Works great on controlling pills
Some people say they need their phone always connected to the dispenser for a to work. I have my phone 30 miles away from the dispenser and it works fine. It’s how you set it up so it will work correctly. Don’t press the standby button to turn it off, let it time out on it’s own.

I get what they are trying to do
Idea is great, but probably better for Gen-X and Millennials and everyone following. My parents aren’t huge smart phone people to begin with, so that already makes this difficult. Holds a lot of pills and sometimes dispenses perfectly, but other times gets stuck. I appreciate the concept, but it just feels like it’s not quite there yet.

Very disappointed
The pill dispenser worked great at first. But now I have to set up a separate pill box for a backup because the dispenser doesn’t always drop all of the pills. It has also jammed up a few times, with pills getting stuck. Unfortunately, since we can not rely on it to dispense the medication properly, it has become more of a hassle than a help for my elderly mother-in-law. It’s a lot of money to spend on a device that doesn’t work.

This is the pill dispenser you were looking for.
This is more than you bargained for! A couple of cautions. For online help, please use the QR codes in the instruction book. This thing has been through more revisions and refinements than you can shake a stick at. I first got one that tried to tell me how to set the time. This unit automatically gets the time from your cell phone without bugging you about it! Obviously this product is constantly being improved. The storage capacity depends on the number of times you take pills every day. I take pills twice, so i get 15 days worth of doses in the machine. If you take pills four times a day your mileage will differ. This machine adapts to whatever your situation is and is dead easy to program and load. One thing I noticed is that capsules are flexible. If they’re below something like gummies, for instance, the gummies might be fine, but compress the capsules to jam the machine.Pills have to sit loosely in the bin. I tested the gummies, found that they could work, but since I put them on top, they jammed the capsules below. Best to avoid gummies. So long as you just drop the pills in the bin and they freefall in they won’t jam. If you have to pick your gummies out of the bottle, count it as healthy exercise!I tested the effect of not answering the alarm for over 10 minutes. I did this two days in a row and the cumulative effect is that I still have over half a battery charge to go. I’ll call that a win. Recharging can be done with any cell phone wall charger and the included USB-C cable.I love the flashing green light that tells you to open the drawer containing this allotment of pills even after the alarm expires.Press in, hear a click that tells you it’s released the drawer, pull the drawer out and get your pills. The infernal machine will bug you to return the drawer, and when you do it says “Thank you!” Okay, I forgive it.Did I say it opens using your fingerprint, with backup keys in case somebody steals your fingerprints? Yikes! I told you, this is more than you bargained for.As for value, it’s about at the top of the food chain for price in pill dispensers. In my estimation it’s a great value for the money. If you must take pills on a regular schedule, but sometimes forget whether you’ve taken them or not, this is the final solution, that’s for sure. It’s significantly more than you thought you’d receive.

Doesn’t work consistently
The door to drop medicine into the bin does not open consistently. This looks great but actual function is flawed. So glad I tested it before leaving it with my elderly parents. They would never be able to deal with the malfunction. Im returning since it just doesn’t work consistently
